Complementary Medicine
Complementary, or alternative, medicine are types of treatments that are not considered “mainstream”. Complementary medicines are defined as unconventional practices that are used alongside conventional practices. Examples of complementary medicine or treatment could include going to a chiropractor, or using herbal medicines and homeopathy. The effects that these practices can have often help to make the person feel better, even if there isn’t necessarily evidence that it these practices have any physical effects on the person. These resources aim to help people make a choice about what treatments and remedies would be suitable for them.
