Low Salt Diet
Salt, in moderation, is good for the body and necessary for certain bodily functions, but too much salt can have some serious effects on your body’s health. People with high blood pressure will often reduce the amount of salt in their diets, which in turn would decrease their risk of suffering from heart failure. There are plenty of meals and recipes that can be made with a reduced salt content, and still be tasty, and the resources provided here will aim to give people more access to these recipes and reduce the risks of negative effects of salt.
BBC Good Food provides further useful information on the effects of salt in the diet, the advantages and disadvantages, and some tips and advice to cut down daily salt intake using a Low Salt Diet.
